Reishi is a Chinese mushroom that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for over 2400 years. It is endowed with toning properties on the body's natural defences and the different actors that make them up. Reishi strengthens the Qi, the body's vital energy.
Tonic of Qi, the vital energy that supports the whole body, Reishi increases the body's defenses. It thus supports the production of internal resources.
Polysaccharides stimulate the activity of Natural Killers NK cells and cytotoxic T lymphocytes. High molecular weight polysaccharides have a greater effect because they can form larger binding sites with receptor cells due to the length of more chains.
Beta-D-Glucan is considered the most active polysaccharide.
The polysaccharides in reishi stimulate :
recovery of bone marrow cells (white blood cells, Naturals Killers cells, red blood cells)
T and B immune cell proliferation
cytotoxic T-cell vigour
NK (Natural Killers) cells
the action of lymphocytes to stimulate the activity of killer cells
Phagoctyosis:
stimulates the vigour of macrophages
promotes maturation of dendritic cells

Polysaccharides stimulate cells with high regenerative power: stem cells and CAMs (Cell Adhesion Molecules). They powerfully stimulate the release of embryonic stem cells.
Polysaccharides also stimulate the growth of dendrites of blood mononuclear cells and their CAMs (Cell Adhesion Molecules) for the formation and regulation of immature dendritic cells, which will be activated and become mature when the body's natural defences are weakened.
