Alkylglycerols have been scientifically studied and used in hospitals in the Nordic countries since the 1930s. They are mainly found in chimera and shark liver oil, the latter being particularly resistant to many disorders, especially those affecting the immune system.
First synthesized in 1930 by Nobel Prize winner Sir Robert Robinson, Alkylglycerols regulate the immune system, especially the bone marrow and spleen. They regulate cell division.
Alkylglycerols are found in :
bone marrow
the spleen
the liver
These three organs manufacture the actors that bring together the T and B lymphocytes, antibodies and immunoglobulins for possible intervention, and develop the body's immune defence response.
Alkylglycerols incorporate and interact with the lipids of the skin membranes, thus regulating cell division. They thin the lipid-rich cell matrix. The membranes of our cells rich in alkylglycerols acquire a condenser function and can therefore defend themselves much better.
Alkylglycerols restore the electrostatic order of the cell. Messages between cells are much faster thanks to the Alkylglycerols present in the phospholipids of the membranes. Alkylglycerols allow a better reading and transmission of messages from cell to cell thanks to a better fluidity of the cell membranes.
The Nordic countries have expertise in the use of Alkylglycerols when the body's natural defences are weakened.
Alkylglycerols protect and strengthen the immune system. They have also been scientifically tested in France in order to protect attacked tissues and allow their recovery. They protect the skin from the various aggressions and radiations (UV from the sun, etc) to which it can be subjected.
Alkylglycerols are :
1 - macrophage stimulants
2 - P.A.F. precursors: platelet aggregation factor
3 - plasmalogen precursors
4 - protein kinase C inhibitors
5 - angiogenesis inhibitors
6 - stimulate the cytokines IFN, TNF, IL-2,
1 - Macrophages are key elements of the immune system, real scavengers of waste.
2 - P.A.F. is involved in the inflammatory response by stimulating the activity of neutrophil monocytes and polynuclear cells.
3 - Plasmalogens stabilize and prevent the oxidation of the double layer of membranes
4 - Protein kinase C is strongly involved in cell proliferation.
5 - angiogenesis promotes the formation of new blood vessels and encourages proliferation.
6 - The cytokines IFN (gamma interferon), TNF (tumour necrosis factor) IL-2 (interleukin-2) are constituent actors of our natural defences.
